3. Quotations & Pricing
3.1 Quotes
All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quotes are based on the information provided and a visual assessment of the work required. If additional work is discovered once the job has commenced, we will inform you and provide a revised quote before proceeding.
3.2 Fixed Price vs Estimate
- Fixed Price: The price will not change unless additional work is requested or unforeseen issues are discovered.
- Estimate: An approximate cost based on available information. The final price may vary.
3.3 Additional Work
If we discover issues that require additional work (e.g., unsafe wiring, damage behind walls), we will stop work, inform you immediately, explain the issue, and obtain your approval before proceeding with any additional costs.

4.1 Confirming a Booking
A booking is confirmed when you accept our quote (verbally, in writing, or by email) and we agree on a date and time for the work.
4.2 Access
You must ensure we have safe and clear access to the work area. If access is not available at the agreed time, we reserve the right to charge a call-out fee.
4.3 Cancellations

5.3 Late Payment
Invoices are due within 7 days of issue. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue payments at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act.
6. Guarantees & Warranties
6.1 Workmanship Guarantee
All our work is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion. This covers defects in workmanship but does not cover damage caused by third parties, misuse, accidental damage, normal wear and tear, or issues caused by pre-existing faults not included in our original scope of work.
6.2 Manufacturer Warranties
Products and materials installed may carry separate manufacturer warranties. We will provide any relevant documentation where applicable.
6.3 NICEIC Backed Guarantee
As a NICEIC registered contractor, certain notifiable work (e.g., consumer unit installations, new circuits) is backed by the NICEIC Platinum Promise, providing additional protection.
7. Certification & Compliance
Where required by Building Regulations Part P, we will notify the work to the Local Authority via the NICEIC, provide an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or Minor Works Certificate, and issue a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate. Certificates are typically issued within 14 days of job completion.
Keep Your Certificates Safe: Electrical certificates are important documents for insurance purposes and when selling your property. We recommend keeping them with your property deeds.
8. Liability & Insurance
8.1 Our Liability
We carry full public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance. We will make good any damage directly caused by our work.
8.2 Limitations
We are not liable for pre-existing defects or issues not caused by our work, consequential losses (e.g., loss of earnings), damage caused by customer-supplied materials or equipment, or issues arising from work carried out by others.
8.3 Your Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring the property is safe for us to work in, informing us of any known issues (e.g., asbestos, structural problems), and moving or protecting valuable items near the work area.
