All work carried out by qualified, registered electricians meeting the highest industry standards. Registration number: D609991 (verify on NICEIC register). The appropriate electrical certificate is provided where the work requires one.
Wiring, home networks and CCTV all handled by the same qualified team — no subcontractors, no coordinating multiple trades. One point of contact from quote to completion.
Highly rated by 388+ homeowners and landlords across Google and other review platforms for reliability, tidy workmanship, and honest advice. We’re known for turning up on time and doing the job properly.
We check the supply, earthing, bonding, consumer unit and the relevant existing circuits first. That shows whether the requested work can be added safely and keeps any separate defect visible before the quotation is agreed.
We agree how the rooms will be used, useful accessory positions and the least disruptive compliant routes. The design then coordinates loading, switching and certification around the real layout rather than assuming every circuit needs replacement.
We confirm who controls the installation, which rooms or shared areas must be reached and whether any managing-agent approval is needed. The written scope then records the access, testing, notification and handover that apply.
Bought from a long-term resident, rewireable fuses still in place, no RCD anywhere. Here’s what we found and how we fixed it.
The owners had bought a 1930s semi just off Aldermans Hill from a long-term resident. The consumer unit was the original Wylex board with rewireable fuses — the kind where you’ve got a strip of fuse wire to replace if something trips.
Nothing immediately dangerous, but once we lifted a few floorboards, the picture got worse.
We swapped the board for a fully RCBO-protected dual-RCD unit — every circuit individually protected.
Then we traced and corrected the borrowed neutral, brought everything up to current 18th Edition spec, and issued a clean certificate the same afternoon.
That job is fairly typical of what I see week to week in Palmers Green. The housing stock here is overwhelmingly interwar, and a huge proportion of homes are still running on installs that haven’t been properly looked at since the 1970s or 80s.

What must be checked before work involving edwardian terraces with rear rooms in Edwardian Terraces With Rear Rooms? Existing circuit condition, earthing and the consumer unit can change what is safe to add. The requested socket, light or repair must be planned from test evidence rather than the age or appearance of the property.
We check the supply, earthing, bonding, consumer unit and the relevant existing circuits first. That shows whether the requested work can be added safely and keeps any separate defect visible before the quotation is agreed. The written scope follows the checked layout around Green Lanes.

How can semis with loft workspaces shape new power and lighting in Semis With Loft Workspaces? Room use, solid walls, finished surfaces and previous alterations affect useful positions and cable routes. A generic layout can create avoidable mess or leave new accessories in the wrong place.
We agree how the rooms will be used, useful accessory positions and the least disruptive compliant routes. The design then coordinates loading, switching and certification around the real layout rather than assuming every circuit needs replacement. What access and permissions affect flats & converted houses in Flats & Converted Houses? Flats, HMOs and managed buildings may involve shared supplies, landlord equipment or restricted areas. Ownership and safe isolation need to be clear before drilling, disconnection or alteration begins.
We confirm who controls the installation, which rooms or shared areas must be reached and whether any managing-agent approval is needed. The written scope then records the access, testing, notification and handover that apply. The written scope follows the checked layout around Green Lanes.

Can rear extensions & garden offices include future electrical, data and security needs in Rear Extensions & Garden Offices? Extensions, lofts, offices and outbuildings often add electrical, data and security loads together. Without a coordinated plan, routes can be duplicated and the existing supply or board capacity can be overlooked.
Yes. We can coordinate likely power, lighting, data and CCTV positions while routes are accessible. Spare capacity and future provision still follow the verified supply and circuit design, avoiding equipment that the property does not need. Palmers Green N13 sits in the London Borough of Enfield, and it isn't one type of house. The streets running off Green Lanes have Edwardian terraces from before the First World War; cut through to Aldermans Hill, Fox Lane or Broomfield Avenue and it's almost entirely 1930s semis. After fifteen years working across N13, I see the same patterns again and again.

If you live in Palmers Green, there's a good chance your house is a 1930s semi. Solid properties — but the original installs were never designed for the way we use power today.
The older streets running off Green Lanes — and pockets towards Bowes Park — have plenty of pre-1920s terraced housing. The two issues I see most often:
The newer builds and converted flats — particularly around Green Lanes and the Triangle — tend to have one recurring issue:
When we upgrade a consumer unit in a Palmers Green home, nine times out of ten we'll recommend bringing the earthing and main bonding up to current regs at the same time. The board's already off, the cables are accessible, and the work costs roughly the same as a separate visit later.
