5-Star Rated on Google
Highly rated by 388+ homeowners and landlords across Google and other review platforms for reliability, tidy workmanship, and honest advice. We’re known for turning up on time and doing the job properly.
What must be checked before work involving long terraces & divided layouts in Victorian & Edwardian Terraces?
We check the supply, earthing, bonding, consumer unit and the relevant existing circuits first. That shows whether the requested work can be added safely and keeps any separate defect visible before the quotation is agreed.
How can semis with garage workspaces shape new power and lighting in Post-War Council Estates?
We agree how the rooms will be used, useful accessory positions and the least disruptive compliant routes. The design then coordinates loading, switching and certification around the real layout rather than assuming every circuit needs replacement.
What access and permissions affect flats with one telecoms point in 1980s–2000s Semis & Terraces?
We confirm who controls the installation, which rooms or shared areas must be reached and whether any managing-agent approval is needed. The written scope then records the access, testing, notification and handover that apply.
A Flat Renovation Near Edmonton Green — When the Builders’ “Rewire” Failed Inspection
A client called us in after his flat renovation was finished, asking for an independent inspection before he signed off the job. What we found was bad enough that I’d rather show you the test results than tell you about it.
The builders had done a full renovation — plastering, kitchen, bathroom, and the electrics, including a new fuseboard. On paper it all looked finished. The reality was different.
Once we got the covers off and started testing, the picture got worse with every circuit.
With faults across both ring finals and lighting, and the metal-switch requirement on top, patching the existing work wasn’t realistic. We sat down with the client, walked him through what we’d found, and recommended a full rewire rather than another round of fixes.
Full rewire of the flat — sockets, lighting, kitchen, bathroom — with circuits split properly and a new RCBO board fitted to current regulations.
- Dedicated kitchen ring, separate socket rings per zone, dedicated cooker circuit
- Lighting circuits separated upstairs/downstairs, with proper CPCs back to the board
- 12-way RCBO consumer unit — every circuit on its own RCBO, BS 7671 18th Edition Amendment 2 compliant
- Earthing and main bonding brought up to current regs
- Earthed metal switches and accessories fitted throughout
- Full Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) and circuit schedule issued
The job came in around £4,500–£5,500. The client now has the renovation he paid for — finished properly, fully certified, and safe. If you’ve just had a flat or house renovation done in Edmonton and the electrics weren’t carried out by an NICEIC-registered electrician, it’s worth getting an independent EICR done before everything’s buried behind the new plaster.

Victorian & Edwardian Terraces
📍 Fore Street, Upper Edmonton N18, Hertford Road, Bounces Road
What must be checked before work involving long terraces & divided layouts in Victorian & Edwardian Terraces? Existing circuit condition, earthing and the consumer unit can change what is safe to add. The requested socket, light or repair must be planned from test evidence rather than the age or appearance of the property.
We check the supply, earthing, bonding, consumer unit and the relevant existing circuits first. That shows whether the requested work can be added safely and keeps any separate defect visible before the quotation is agreed. The written scope follows the checked layout around Fore Street.
Post-War Council Estates
📍 Montagu Road, Durham Road, Silver Street, Plevna Road
How can semis with garage workspaces shape new power and lighting in Post-War Council Estates? Room use, solid walls, finished surfaces and previous alterations affect useful positions and cable routes. A generic layout can create avoidable mess or leave new accessories in the wrong place.
We agree how the rooms will be used, useful accessory positions and the least disruptive compliant routes. The design then coordinates loading, switching and certification around the real layout rather than assuming every circuit needs replacement. The written scope follows the checked layout around Montagu Road.
1980s–2000s Semis & Terraces
📍 Meridian Water N18, Edmonton Green, Angel Edmonton, Advent Way
What access and permissions affect flats with one telecoms point in 1980s–2000s Semis & Terraces? Flats, HMOs and managed buildings may involve shared supplies, landlord equipment or restricted areas. Ownership and safe isolation need to be clear before drilling, disconnection or alteration begins.
We confirm who controls the installation, which rooms or shared areas must be reached and whether any managing-agent approval is needed. The written scope then records the access, testing, notification and handover that apply. The written scope follows the checked layout around Meridian Water N18.
Rear Extensions & Garden Offices
📍 Throughout Edmonton N9 and N18 — rear extensions, HMOs, outbuildings
Can rear extensions & garden offices include future electrical, data and security needs in Rear Extensions & Garden Offices? Extensions, lofts, offices and outbuildings often add electrical, data and security loads together. Without a coordinated plan, routes can be duplicated and the existing supply or board capacity can be overlooked.
Yes. We can coordinate likely power, lighting, data and CCTV positions while routes are accessible. Spare capacity and future provision still follow the verified supply and circuit design, avoiding equipment that the property does not need. The written scope follows the checked layout around Throughout Edmonton N9 and N18.
